Licensure & Service Area
Last updated September 2026.
This page states, in plain language, what my license covers, who can receive therapy with me and where, how to verify my credentials yourself, and how the non-clinical side of my work differs from clinical care. Questions are always welcome at xsana@xsanasaphire.com.
My license
I am Xsana Saphire Phoumiphat, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the State of Nevada — LCPC #CP5910— issued by the Nevada Board of Examiners for Marriage and Family Therapists and Clinical Professional Counselors. This license is what authorizes me to practice psychotherapy, and it is the legal foundation for every clinical service offered through my practice, Holistic Healing & Therapy.
How to verify it
You don’t have to take my word for any of this. The Nevada board maintains a public license registry where you can look up LCPC #CP5910directly. If that link ever changes, the board’s website at marriage.nv.govis the starting point. I encourage independent verification — it is a reasonable thing to do before beginning therapy with anyone.
Who can receive therapy, and where
Therapy is offered online only, and only to clients who are physically located in Nevadaat the time of each session. This is a requirement of licensure law, not a policy preference. Professional counseling licenses are issued state by state, and a Nevada license gives me no authority to practice psychotherapy with someone who is in another state or country during our session — regardless of where you live, where you signed up, or where you were when we first met. What matters is where your body is when the session happens, which is why I confirm your location at the start of telehealth sessions. There is no physical office; all clinical sessions are held by secure video.
Certifications — and what they are not
Alongside the license, I hold several certifications. In the interest of transparency, here is what each one is:
Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist (CHT)
— training in clinical hypnotherapy, which I use within my licensed scope of practice as part of therapy.Parts and Memory, Level 2
— advanced training in Parts and Memory therapy, a parts-work approach I use within clinical sessions.Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher (RYT-200)
— a 200-hour yoga teacher training. Yoga is offered through Rooted Within and is not a clinical service.Reiki, Level 2
— a Reiki practitioner certification. Reiki is offered through Rooted Within and is not a clinical service.
Certifications are not licenses. They document completed training programs; they do not grant legal authority to practice psychotherapy, and no combination of them substitutes for a license. The only credential on this page that authorizes clinical care is the LCPC, and it does so only in Nevada.
Rooted Within — the non-clinical arm
Rooted Within is the separate, non-clinical side of my work — hypnotherapy for personal growth, Reiki, yoga, workshops, and retreats. These services are not licensed healthcare. They are not psychotherapy, mental-health treatment, or medical care, and they do not include diagnosis or treatment of any condition. Because they are not clinical services, they are available worldwide and are not limited by the Nevada location rule above. One boundary holds throughout: when what you need is clinical care, Rooted Within is never offered as a substitute for therapy. If that is where our conversation leads, I will say so plainly and point you toward therapy — with me if you are in Nevada, or with a licensed clinician where you are.
