Accessibility
Last updated September 2026.
This site should work for you — whatever device you use, however you read, point, listen, or navigate. This page explains what that commitment means in practice, where the site still falls short, and how to tell me when something is in your way. Questions are always welcome at xsana@xsanasaphire.com.
The commitment
XsanaSaphire.com aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. I treat accessibility as part of how this practice cares for people, not as a checkbox — the site is reviewed against that standard as it grows, and new pages are built to it from the start.
What this site does
Keyboard navigation
— every interactive element can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator so you always know where you are.Reduced motion
— if your device asks for reduced motion, the site honors that setting everywhere. Animation settles into simple fades, or into nothing at all.Semantic structure
— pages are built with real headings in a logical order and meaningful landmarks, so screen readers can move through them by structure rather than by guesswork.Alt text
— images carry descriptive alternative text. Purely decorative ornaments are hidden from assistive technology so they don’t add noise.Touch targets
— buttons and links meet a 44-pixel minimum size, so they are comfortable to tap on a phone and forgiving of tremor or fatigue.Color contrast
— text and interface colors are held to WCAG AA contrast ratios in every section of the site, on light surfaces and dark ones alike.
Known limitations
Some of the downloadable PDFs offered on this site may not yet be fully optimized for screen readers. I am working through them. In the meantime, if a document doesn’t work with your assistive technology, email me and I’ll provide the content in a format that does.
Accessibility in sessions
Therapy and Rooted Within sessions are held over secure video. Closed captions are available on request for telehealth sessions. If any part of the video format is a barrier for you — captions, pacing, lighting, breaks, or something I haven’t thought of — say so, and we will adjust the setup together before we begin.
Report a barrier
If something on this site is hard to use, hard to read, or simply doesn’t work with the way you navigate, I want to know. Email xsana@xsanasaphire.comwith the page you were on and a plain description of what happened — that is all the detail I need. You will receive a reply within two business days, and the barrier goes on my fix list.
