Anxiety Therapy in Nevada · Telehealth

Your anxiety isn’t
a malfunction.

It’s a nervous system doing exactly what it learned to do — scanning, bracing, staying one step ahead of a threat it was never given the chance to finish.

You can understand all of this and still feel it in your chest at 2am. Insight alone rarely reaches the layer where anxiety actually lives.

What's actually happening

Anxiety begins in the body, not the thought.

Most of what gets called anxiety is the nervous system holding a survival setting it never got the signal to release. The heart races, the breath shortens, the mind generates reasons to match a body that’s already braced. The thoughts aren’t the cause. They’re the body looking for something to explain the alarm.

This is why talking about anxiety can circle it for years without moving it. In the somatic frame I work from, the setting lives below language — in the autonomic system, in old protective patterns, in the parts of you that learned long ago that staying ready was how you stayed safe. To shift it, we work where it’s actually held: the body, the nervous system, and the subconscious frames running underneath the story.

The approach

We work below the story.

I’m a licensed clinical professional counselor and a clinical hypnotherapist. With anxiety, I draw on three tools that reach where talk alone often can’t — and we move in the order your system allows, never faster.

A wide, calm field of tall wind-blown grass in golden light, evoking room to breathe
  • Somatic & nervous-system work

We track sensation alongside story and teach your body that it's safe to come down from high alert — so calm becomes something it knows, not something it performs.
  • Clinical hypnotherapy

A quiet, guided process — you stay aware throughout, gently led and never handed over — for reaching the subconscious frames that keep the alarm running, and updating them at the layer they were set.
  • Parts & Memory work

Anxiety is often a protector — a part of you working hard to keep you ahead of danger. We meet that part with respect, understand the job it took on, and let it learn it can rest.
You don’t need more coping skills.
You need a deeper connection to yourSelf.

Common questions about anxiety therapy

Questions, answered the way I’d answer them.

  • Yes. Anxiety responds well to therapy that works with the nervous system, not only the thoughts. I use somatic work, clinical hypnotherapy, and parts work to reach the patterns underneath the worry — the layer where anxiety is held and where the work goes.
  • Somatic anxiety treatment works with the body's survival response rather than only the anxious thoughts. We track physical sensation, slow the nervous system out of high alert, and use breath, grounding, and awareness so the body learns safety directly — not just as an idea, but as a state.
  • Yes. I'm licensed in Nevada and work entirely by telehealth, so I can see any adult physically located in Nevada — Las Vegas, Henderson, Reno, Sparks, Carson City, and statewide. Sessions are private, secure, and from wherever you feel most settled in your own space.
  • Sessions are $155 for a 50-minute individual session ($177 for couples), self-pay. I'm not billing insurance directly right now — many plans offer some out-of-network benefit, and one call to your insurer confirms yours. You'll receive a Good Faith Estimate before we begin, so cost is clear up front.
  • Yes — without qualification. My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming, body- and sex-positive, kink-aware, and multicultural. You don't have to explain or defend any part of who you are to be met here. All of you is welcome, including the parts that anxiety has been protecting.

Anxiety rarely travels alone.

If what you’re carrying runs deeper than anxiety, these may meet you where you are.

  • Trauma

The roots beneath the patterns that keep repeating.

  • PTSD

Post-traumatic stress, met with layered, body-first care.

Begin

If something here
recognized itself in you —

that recognition is the beginning. A free consultation is a conversation, not a commitment to therapy — fifteen minutes to feel whether this is the work you’re looking for, and whether we’re a fit. No pressure either way.
